Happy Birthday, Rhett Walker!

It’s a day Rhett-necks around the world are celebrating…the birth of the lead singer of the Rhett Walker Band, Rhett Walker!  (Yes, that does include me.)

Last year was a pretty big year for Mr. Walker, which included the release of the band’s debut album, ‘Come To The River’, and a Grammy nomination for the song, ‘When Mercy Found Me. Here’s to another big year filled with Rhett Walker’s uncompromising style of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

In honor of the birthday boy, here’s one of my favorite Rhett Walker Band videos:  an acoustic rendition of the Grammy-nominated song, “When Mercy Found Me.”

Video Fun For the Whole Family: Rhett Walker & Mountain Man of Duck Dynasty Fame

I am a fan of the Rhett Walker Band. Love ’em. The band puts on a great show and Rhett Walker is a hoot in his own right, the whole music thing aside. So, when I saw on Facebook today that there was a video of him on the Mountain Man (of Duck Dynasty fame) Radio Program, I had to watch it. My intuition told me that these two together in the same room was bound to epically funny, and guess what? I was right. I still can’t decide which is funnier, listening to Mountain Man talk about his recent battle with the flu or watching Rhett Walker in stitches next to him. Humor this good cannot be scripted.

I should point out that while I am a Rhett Walker Band fan, my son and my parents are all big Duck Dynasty fans so this was a special video that we could all enjoy together. Finding quality programming for three generations of our family is hard to come by, so thank you very much Rhett Walker and Mountain Man for providing quality bonding time for the generations today.

Reality TV redneck watchers and Christian music lovers, unite.

(And for those of you avid blog readers who are wondering, my heart still belongs to the Turtleman. Mountain Man doesn’t hold a candle to Turtleman’s “Live Action!”)

Sadly, I am not able to embed the video from Facebook here on my blog so you’ll have to head over to the Rhett Walker Band’s Facebook page to view the video.  Go check it out…It’s worth the trip!
