It’s not just Christian music artists that are buzzing about Beth since Spin: the Blog launched in the summer of 2012.  In 2012, she was named a “Top Tweeter” by Fort Wayne Newspapers for her coverage of local news, sports, and entertainment in Northeast Indiana for her use of Social Media to connect with readers.  This past June, Beth was one of just five individuals nominated in the state of Indiana for the Fort Wayne media’s People’s Choice Award for Favorite Columnist.  Beth is not only the first female to be nominated for this award in over 15 years, she is also the first independent writer to EVER be nominated that is not employed by a mass media conglomerate.  She is also the first writer to EVER be nominated that writes exclusively for online news sources (her stories are frequently purchased for publication in print sources after they have already appeared online).

In addition to her work writing for Spin: the Blog, Beth also writes for the blog Consider J.O.Y. (www.ConsiderJoy.com), and is the featured writer for the Local News Network, an association of 5 separate blogs that cover the positive news stories in the small towns of East Allen County: New Haven, Woodburn, Hoagland, Leo-Cedarville, and Grabill.  Her work has appeared in numerous print publications, including Country Living magazine and Guideposts magazine, and her award winning photographs have been published nationally in media campaigns and magazines, including the Salvation Army’s Young Salvationist magazine.

Beth also has a heart for encouraging and inspiring girls and young women to live their lives for Christ by using the unique talents and abilities they have been given to bring glory to His holy name.  She accomplishes this by speaking at events, sharing her own story of pain and brokenness, failures and mistakes, and reflecting on how her personal relationship with Christ both healed and redeemed her.
